? Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched the Self Declaration COVID19 Nagaland App at Kohima. The app will be mandatory for any person who entered Nagaland after March 6.

? The Union Tourism Ministry has launched ‘Stranded in India’ portal to provide all neccessary information and support to the foreign tourists stranded in various parts of India.

? National Book Trust will launch a publishing series titled ‘Corona Studies Series’ to document and to provide relevant reading materials for all age-groups for the post-Corona readership needs.

? The Banaras Hindu University’s Department of Molecular & Human Genetics has claimed to have discovered a technology to test COVID-19 virus and give accurate results within 5-6 hours.

? Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan launched the 24×7 National Teleconsultation Centre to answer COVID-19 related queries. The Centre is a telemedicine hub, through which, expert doctors from various clinical domains will be available 24×7 to answer questions related to COVID-19 all.

? Spain has banned the holding of funeral ceremonies till April 11 to contain the spread of coronavirus. The ban includes vigils at home and states that no more than three people can attend the burial ceremonies.

? Mandatory for cable operators to carry 25 DD, RS and LS TV channels: Information and Broadcasting Ministry.

? As per the latest report released by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the world economy will go into recession with the likely exception of India and China.

? Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a big consolidation of public sector banks in 2019. As per the scheme of amalgamation, 10 public sector banks are to be merged into 4 banks. Now, the Reserve Bank of India has notified with a circular that the mega merger of 10 PSBs will be effective from the start of new financial year i.e. 1st April 2020.

? RBI increases the limit for Foreign portfolio investors (FPI) investment in corporate bonds to 15% of outstanding stock for FY 2020-21.

? Punjab National Bank (PNB) unveils new logo following its merger with United Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC).

? The National Book Trust, India is an apex body, established by the Government of India in the year 1957.

? The government has extended the validity of vehicle documents such as driving license, permits and registration till June 30, 2020 amid the lockdown imposed by Union Government to contain the spread of coronavirus.

? Union Commerce and Industry minister Piyush Goyal has represented India at the Extraordinary G20 Trade and Investment Ministerial virtual meeting, which was held on March 31, 2020. The Union Minister called for enhancing access to affordable medicines and facilitating easy movement of medical products and healthcare professionals across borders.

? Tokyo Olympics to be held from July 23 to August 8 in 2021; Paralympics Games from August 24 to September 5: International Olympic Committee.
