? Every year, October 27 is celebrated as Infantry Day by the Indian Army in Jammu & Kashmir (known by nickname, Chinar Corps).The Chinar Corps celebrated the 74th Infantry Day on October 27, 2020, to honour the supreme sacrifice of the gallant soldiers in fighting the Pakistani invaders, in Jammu and Kashmir, in 1947.

? China is building the world’s highest-altitude cloud computing data centre in Tibet. The date centre will meet the data storage needs of the country and South Asian nations like Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

? India is hosting the third India-US two plus two Ministerial Dialogue at Hyderabad House in New Delhi  on 27 October 2020. The Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar are leading the Indian delegation.

? The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be launching earth observation satellite EOS-01 as primary satellite and 9 customer satellites aboard PSLV-C49 on November 7, 2020.

? Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSMEs Shri Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stones of nine National Highway projects with a total length of nearly 262 kms worth over Rs 2752 crore in Tripura.

? The International Animation Day is observed every year on October 28 to celebrate the art of animation and also recognise the artists, scientists and technicians behind animation.The day was created in 2002 by ASIFA, an International Animated Film Association, a member of UNESCO. 2020 marks the 19th International Animation Day.

? Former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel passed away on October 29, 2020. He was 92. Keshubhai Patel had served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for two terms in 1995 and from 1998 to 2001.

? AIM (Atal Innovation Mission), in association with CSIRO, is organizing a two-day hackathon on circular economy, ‘India–Australia Circular Economy Hackathon (I-ACE)’, on 7 and 8 December.

? Public transporter DTC and construction major NBCC have inked MoUs to build multi-level bus depots in Delhi’s Hari Nagar and Vasant Vihar, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced.

? Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on October 29, 2020 launched the Dharani Portal for land and property registrations. The portal aims to reduce loopholes in the registration process.

? The Bangladesh government has decided that no service will be provided to people who don’t wear masks.
