? Union Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday   launched ‘SARODPorts‘ (Society for Affordable Redressal of Disputes – Ports) through a virtual ceremony. SARODPorts is a dispute redressal mechanism for all kinds of disputes related to the maritime sector.

?  ICICI Bank has launched -‘iStartup2.0’ – a programme for startups that takes care of their banking as well as beyond-banking needs such as regulatory assistance, analytics, staffing, accounting, customer acquisition and digital outreach to customers, among others.

? Vodafone and Idea have been rebranded as Vi. The new identity of the brand was launched by Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL). As per the official statement, Vodafone and Idea have been rebranded as ‘Vi’, which can also be read as ‘we’.

? The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a flagship initiative of the Indian Government’s policy think-tank NITI Aayog, on September 9, launched the Aatmanirbhar Bharat ARISE – Atal New India Challenges (ANIC) to spur applied research and innovation in MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) and startups by challenging them to come up with innovative solutions to sectoral problems.

? The last phase of the clinical trial of the COVID-19 vaccine which was developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca has been paused after one of the participants falls ill in United Kingdom (UK). The pause has been described by AstraZeneca as a routine pause in case of an ‘unexplained illness’.

? National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has collaborated with LinkedIn, the world’s largest online professional networks, to provide access to free LinkedIn learning resources for digital skills that are in demand in today’s economy. Under the partnership, 10 free LinkedIn learning paths, consisting of 140 courses for a range of in-demand tech jobs, will be made available for free on eSkill India digital platform until 31st March, 2021.

? Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally launched Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana and e-Gopala app for the farmers in Bihar on September 10, 2020.

? Today, Mastercard announced a proprietary virtual testing environment for central banks to evaluate CBDC use cases. The platform enables the simulation of issuance, distribution and exchange of CBDCs between banks, financial service providers and consumers.

? The Indian Air Force formally inducted the Rafale Fighter jets on September 10, 2020. The special induction ceremony was held at the Ambala airbase in Haryana. It was attended by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly.
